The Astin Mansion is stately and beautiful wedding venue in College Station, Texas. The character of the 100+ year old mansion attracted Roxanne and Kevin when they were searching for a wedding venue in the College Station and Houston area.

The Astin Mansion was one of only a few venues that matched the style and the budget they were looking for. I’ve worked at the Astin Mansion many times and know the staff well. They go above and beyond for every couple to make the wedding day just what they imagined.

Roxanne and Kevin didn’t want all the bells and whistles for their ceremony. Their style is much more classic and stately. And having all the character of the front of the Astin Mansion as the backdrop for their outdoor ceremony was all they needed to make it a stunning setting.

When talking with Roxanne about her wedding day, she shared that one of the most meaningful and precious moments of the day was when she walked down the aisle toward her husband. She was joined by her their two young daughters. She said that it was one of the most meaningful moments of the day as they walked together, joining the family as one.

Talk about some unique wedding day florals, one of the bride’s hobbies is cooking so she incorporated as many herbs as she could think of into her bouquet and centerpieces.

Get ready for a party, because their reception was an all-out dance fest! Kevin picked all the songs for the reception playlist and the DJ rocked that playlist for all the guests.

WORDS of ADVICE from the BRIDE:
“Take a deep breath and think about what’s important to y’all as a couple. You don’t have to follow the rules if you don’t want to.”

This is so important! Your wedding day is yours. If you don’t have roses in your bouquet, but some sprigs of rosemary are more your style, then do it.

“Hiring a wedding planner was crucial! I could not have done it without her.  Take the time to soak in how special getting married is, try not to let stress overtake that.”
