5 Unique Wedding Venues in College Station

There are so many amazing venues that we have had the honor of photographing in the College Station, Texas area. When we highlight these 5 amazing wedding venues, we are solely showcasing 5 venues that have been a pleasure to work with and that we feel bring a uniqueness to the area. Also, when choosing these venues we did not only pick then for a building or a fun and helpful staff (although they all have those) but we also chose them for the areas around the venues that our couples LOVE utilizing for their photos too. These are also in no specific order.

Peach Creek Ranch

You can dress up Peach Creek Ranch to an elegant black-tie evening or go more rustic with some boots on the dance floor. It’s so versatile and their in-house coordinator Amy with All Things Planned will help you create exactly what you are dreaming of.
Not only is Peach Creek absolutely stunning, but Katie, Ryan, and the team go above and beyond to care for you. They remember everyone and put so much thought and care into each wedding they host.

Some of my favorite locations around PCR are the bridge and trail around the pond. I usually get my shoes all muddy and stuck by a few thorny vines while getting to a perfect spot for a bridge shot, but it’s so worth it. The trail is nice and secluded and a good break from the busyness of the day.

Using the large barn doors is a must for this venue. Every time I’m there, a new idea comes to mind for using these doors.

If you have time, and it’s the right time of year for wildflowers, the back pasture is Amazing! We’d need to coordinate with Katie before going back there since it’s not technically part of the venue, but it’s awesome.

And night photos there are next level amazing!

7F Lodge

Talk about the cutest little white chapel in all of Texas! Seriously, love this chapel. You can fix it up with a floral arch and decorations or leave it exactly how it is, and it’ll look amazing.
It’s great for more intimate weddings and elopements where you can get married inside the chapel, or for larger weddings you can tie the knot on the steps in front.

A bonus with 7F is having so many cabins on the property. Which is so great for family and wedding party to be able to stay on location before and after the wedding.

As mentioned above, I love using the chapel for photos. Inside, outside, in the distance, and especially at night!

All the trails to the cabins are fantastic for a more intimate location away from everyone else. The trees make a great canopy around you too.

I love this fence that is maybe a 2 minute walk from the chapel. Something about the vines and the fence together just makes it for me.

And a big favorite is the vintage truck. Not too much of a walk from the chapel, especially if you use shortcuts, and we can get some really fun photos with this blue Ford.

Astin Mansion

I got my start into wedding photography by working with a turn of the century mansion in the Austin area, so the Astin Mansion was one of the first venues I checked out when moving to College Station. And it’s still one of my favorites.
Built is the 1920s, you can feel so much character in every room. Ceremonies out front are amazing with the mansion as your background! And some of the craziest receptions have been in the backyard at the Astin. I love the “backyard wedding” feel with having your dance floor in the back of the mansion, café lights and all. I’m a sucker for café lights.

Where to even start! Inside. Let’s start there, haha. The blue room is amazing and definitely one of my top favorite places around the mansion. Also the…I’m going to call it “brown room” since it’s brown. It can be a little intimidating for some photographers, and to be honest I avoided it the first time I was there. But when I really explored it, it was the moody, classic, beauty I needed. The staircase is another spot inside that has so, so, so many options for creative photos.

The backyard is filled with fun photo ops from the bamboo wall (not sure it’s bamboo but it’s similar for sure), and the mini mansion, and the symmetry of the back of the mansion itself.

Inn at Quarry Ridge

This little oasis between Bryan and Hearn is so much that photographers love, and you’ll love it too. Their gorgeous venue has room for 300+ wedding guests, and the staff will treat each and every one as if they are family. You have options with the stunning outdoor ceremony area with a sweet little gazebo or an indoor option in the grand reception hall.

Larry and Sue, the owners of the Inn at Quarry Ridge started weddings out on their property when their own child was getting married. Having a house right there on site with a bridal and groom’s suites available for you and your wedding party to all get ready right next to the venue it perfect.

One of the places I love to take couples around the Inn is a little area behind the gazebo that is covered with trees and it a really nice secluded site even with everyone at the gazebo nearby.

Along the water is ideal. I love the water, and they provide multiple water spots for you. From the large pond running along the reception hall and up to the ceremony site, to the pool in the backyard/cocktail area, you can’t go wrong with water photos.

Around the backyard there are a few spots that we can get really creative with textures and lighting, which you know is always a favorite for me.

The Weinberg at Wixon Valley

This venue is a beast! As of writing this they have not finished all the construction but they will be having their wedding later this month. I was able to tour the venue with one of their venue managers, Shaylie, and I loved everything about it! They put so much detail into everything. These are just some phone photos but this is gorgeous. And why would a photographer bring a real camera with him haha. Next time for sure.

This 3 story barn brings an almost castle feel with it, from the wrought iron railings and spiral staircases, to the 50ft tall stone silo housing yet another spiral staircase!, to the handcrafted details of the doors, and the three massive chandeliers which were pieced together by hand. Every. Single. Crystal.

They can comfortably seat 450 guests inside this 18000+ sqft barn venue. The outdoor ceremony site is gorgeous with the vineyard sitting as the backdrop, and a bridge over their water feature leading you back to the café light-strewn outdoor cocktail bar and sitting area. I cannot wait for my weddings out there.

Inside we have the bridal suite with all its glory and brightness which will be great for portraits. There is also the spiral staircase going down the silo at the front of the venue which is bursting with creativity and fun. At the base of the staircase there is a chic vintage green couch against a wooden slat wall which would make for a dramatic couples portrait with that old timey royalty feel to it.

Outside we have the vineyard of course which will look absolutely stunning when full just before harvest. Across the water, looking back at the venue will get you, with the reflection of the venue and sunset across the water. Just dreamy! And let’s not forget about the fire pits. Yes, two of them. I love a good creative photo through the flames of a fire pit. A must for a quick 5 minute break during the reception.
