Yes, destination weddings are fun. Away from the normal world, vacation like.
Your wedding day is going to be amazing, we all know this. Ceremony with a gorgeous backdrop, dance party all night, but there is an extra party that will create so many close memories for your friends and family.
The main purpose of the Day After Party during your destination wedding weekend is to celebrate the couple, but to celebrate is a more communal and laid back experience.
The Day After Party
Don’t get me wrong, we’re not talking about the morning after your wedding, we all need a good lazy morning to recover from the intense celebration that was your reception.
Later in the day after your wedding celebration is the time to have a party. Much more casual and everyone gets to chill with each other and share some tasty drinks.
After a destination wedding in Costa Rica, which was absolutely stunning, the couple rented out an entire restaurant for their day after party.
Complete with a pool party, open bar with all the tropical drinks and delectable hors d’oeuvers you could want, this party was the perfect way to wrap up a destination celebration with all the people closest to them.
If a pool party isn’t your jam, you could try some of these ideas too.
- Family style dinner
- Open bar night
- Rent out the Arcade Room
- Private Karaoke rooms
- Group Excursion Trip
No matter where you’re planning your destination wedding you can celebrate with an after party. However, if you’re planning to get married in the Guanacaste, Cost Rica area, I highly recommend The Garcia Mar Vista restaurant.
The staff went above and beyond for every single guest, including me and my photography team. Not only was the service top notch but they even joined in with tossing the football around, having some great conversations.
And no, this is not a paid add for Garcia Mar Vista. I just really enjoyed the experience and I know you will as well.
